Happy Halloween!

Snow Day!

"Snowball" Word Problem Fight! Students took crumpled up word problems and had a snowball fight. When time was called, they had to grab a snowball and take it to their seats to solve. They loved it!!

Happy Valentine's Day! We spent the last half of the day using candy hearts to graph, measure, and practice number sentences.

We learned about American contributors and spent a week learning about women who changed America. We made butter to see how hard women had to work before they were able to work outside the home.

We learned about Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone!

After learning about contributors, each student chose a person to research and write an informational book about. We also turned a water bottle into our contributor. This project was full of learning and fun!!

"Lucky" the Leprechaun came to visit... and left his footprints everywhere!!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

We LOVED Dr. Seuss week. We read lots of his books, worked with rhyming and nonsense words, and even wrote about what we would do if Thing 1 and 2 came to visit. At the end of the week, we graphed whether or not we thought we would like Green Eggs and Ham and tried them out!

We learned all about the past and present. We focused on the 50's for a week and tried root beer floats. Some people liked them... some didn't! We wrote a how to book for people who have never made them before.

We read "The Easter Bunny's Assistant" and learned more about writing "how to" books. We dyed eggs and wrote the steps using transition words.

We had an egg hunt! Our eggs were filled with math facts and after the hunt we got busy solving them!
